Case Study

Streamlined multi - utility connections
We supported a developer who needed a new water supply for a 9 flat development, with a challenging onsite route.
Challenge: The connection point from the mains to the boundary sat in a very busy road, and the run from the boundary onto the building itself was around 25 metres, crossing private land. The onsite works were significant, and disruption to shared land was a real risk to timeline and neighbour relations.
Solution: Once the application and designs were with the network operator, we organised a competitive quote from an independent provider (SLP), saving the client both time and money. Just as importantly, the SLP was able to carry out the onsite works using moling rather than open-cut excavation, which meant far less disruption to the shared land and made getting permissions for the works considerably easier.
Result: A faster, less disruptive route from mains to building, permissions secured with less friction, and cost savings passed on to the client
Streamlined multi - utility connections
We recently supported a residential developer by managing utility applications for water, gas, electricity, and sewerage connections.
Challenge: Complex coordination, potential high costs, multiple permits and timelines.
Solution: By coordinating three utilities into one installation, we significantly reduced excavation, reinstatement, traffic management costs, and project timeline.
Result: Faster project completion, substantial cost savings, and fewer disruptions for local residents.
